Zapurr Terms of Service

By using Zapurr (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, delete the app and discontinue use.
1. The service
Zapurr is a pet care app: it helps you track your pet’s health, schedule care, find lost pets, and connect with other owners. The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials.
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account.
3. Your content
- You retain ownership of everything you put into Zapurr (pet photos, notes, health logs, journal entries).
- You grant Zapurr a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you and to anyone you explicitly share with (household members, recipients of share cards).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, abusive, or violates someone else’s rights.
- Use the Stray Map or Lost Pet features to harass others, log false sightings, or impersonate animal-control authorities.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the service.
- Use Zapurr’s AI features to generate harmful, misleading, or veterinary diagnoses you then act on without consulting a real veterinarian.
5. Community content and zero tolerance
Some Zapurr features let you post content that other people can see — the Stray Map, Lost Pet alerts, sighting reports, the neighborhood roster, adoption requests, and pet profiles. You are solely responsible for what you post and for your interactions with other users.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post content, and must not behave, in any way that is:
- sexually explicit or pornographic, or depicting nudity;
- hateful, harassing, threatening, bullying, or demeaning toward any person or group;
- violent or graphic, or that promotes self-harm;
- depicting, promoting, or facilitating animal cruelty, abuse, or neglect;
- illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, spam, or impersonating another person, pet owner, or organization;
- infringing the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person; or
- otherwise objectionable, offensive, or inappropriate.
Wherever you can see another user’s content, Zapurr gives you in-app tools to report that content and to block the user who posted it. You can also report objectionable content or an abusive user by emailing jhonkenrick28@gmail.com.
We review every report of objectionable content or abuse and will act on it within 24 hours by removing the content and/or suspending or terminating the responsible user’s account. We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, without notice, for any violation of these terms.
6. Not veterinary advice
Zapurr provides health tracking and informational AI responses. It is not a substitute for veterinary care. If your pet shows signs of illness, see a licensed veterinarian. We disclaim liability for decisions made based solely on app content.
7. Third-party services
Zapurr uses:
- Supabase for storage and authentication.
- Anthropic for the in-app Assistant.
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for notifications.
- Apple MapKit for maps.
Each is governed by its own terms; we do our best to vet them, but we don’t control them.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or for legal reasons. We will give you reasonable notice when possible.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zapurr is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including (but not limited to) loss of data, loss of pet, or veterinary outcomes. Our total liability in any matter is capped at the amount you paid for Zapurr in the 12 months preceding the claim (zero for free use of the app).
10. Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will notify you in-app before the change takes effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Zapurr is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
